As the GOtv Netball Champions League gets into the final round at Don Bosco in Lilongwe this weekend, Blantyre-based giants Complex Tigresses and Kukoma Diamonds have tightened their lips on their tactical approach to the showdown.
The two sides, who are set to face off in the semi-finals on Friday, told The Nation on Tuesday that any leakage of the teams’ tactics will prove suicidal ahead of the encounter.

“It has always been our habit to disclose our plans to the press before our games, but, I am afraid, we will not do that this time around. Our opponents might use that information to pick out our shortfalls. We are getting into a do-or-die stage where we should not dare take such risks,” said Tigresses assistant coach Charles Mhango.
His counterpart at Diamonds Noel Mussa noted that the semi-final encounter will be more of tactical battle.
“The result of this match will mainly depend on who has a better technical ability and it will do us good not to divulge anything concerning our preparations,” Mussa said.
This year, the defending champions Tigresses have suffered two historic defeats by GOtv Plus group leaders Blue Eagles Sisters.
They lost 41-45 in the first round and 37-40 in the second round.
In the other semi-final on Friday, Eagles will face Thunder Queens, who finished second in the GOtv Value group.
Winners in the last-four games will face off in the final on Saturday, according to Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) general secretary Carol Bapu. 
