Tips on keeping phone charges low
An IT expert has said there are a number of ways Malawians burdened with high mobile phone charges may take to lower what they pay for, especially in the face of the proposed 10 percent tax on text messaging and Internet data to be implemented by July 1 2015 by mobile phone operators.
Blantyre-based expert, Johnny Kasalika, said mobile phone users may save airtime by using the following tips, among others:
Subscribe to Internet and voice data bundle
Use Opera browser as opposed to news sites
Use desktop or laptop computers to download applications
Turn off Mobile Data when not using Internet
Disable auto updates of applications.
