On loan defender and captain Ian Chinyama cannot play against his parent club Bullets while Mapopa Banda, Isaac Muyaba and Wakisa Kalenga are all injured.

On the other hand, Sillah Jumo has been diagnosed with malaria.

TN Stars chairperson Jones Banda said the absence of the five players would affect the team’s performance.

“You can see from the list of the players not available, it kills our defence completely,” he said.

Chinyama’s loan condition was that he should not feature in games against Bullets.

“Unfortunately, the person we sent to broker the loan deal agreed to this condition. I did not agree to this, but since our representative had signed the deal, I did not have a say,” he said.

Bullets chief executive officer Fleetwood Haiya confirmed the loan agreement on Chinyama.

Super League of Malawi (Sulom) have said they cannot interfere in the matter since it was agreed between the two parties.

“If it is as in the loan agreement, then it is in order,” said Sulom treasurer Tiya Somba-Banda.

TN Stars started the season badly by losing 4-1 to Blue Eagles on the first day of the match.

But since then, they have picked up drawing twice and winning once. n
