TNM calls for SMS support on Bullets

Super League sponsors TNM have drummed up support towards the ongoing text message promotion meant to fundraise for Big Bullets’ 2015 CAF Champions League campaign.
TNM chief commercial officer Dan Makata said in a press statement when congratulating Bullets on starting their suspect 2015 CAF Champions League campaign with a 1-0 win against Fomboni Club de Moheil in the Comoros on Sunday.

“We would like to wholeheartedly extend our congratulations to the country’s flag carriers in the CAF League Championship, Big Bullets, on registering a win in their first game. Winning away against Fomboni FC is no mean achievement and serves to prove how determined BB are to progress in this competition,” said Makata.
TNM has extended to Bullets a K15 million advance and two sets of uniforms to assist the team—which has no corporate sponsor—meet travel expenses during the group stages of the competition.
The company also launched an SMS promotion to help the team raise funds. Customers need only to send an SMS to 2015, with each message costing K50, of which K40 goes to Bullets who host Fomboni on the weekend of February 28.
TNM believes the promotion, whose winners could win prizes worth K2 million, will assist the champions generate the much-needed revenue to assist them in the CAF games. Bullets need K180 million for the CAF engagements.
“It is our sincere hope that customers and all Malawians of goodwill will send as many SMSs as possible to assist with the Bullets cause.”
