The Flames might have failed to qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) currently underway in Gabon, but Total Malawi Limited will sponsor two of their lucky customers to watch the finals of the African football festival in Libreville next month.

Total are the official sponsors of the African showpiece whose ultimate prize is $4 million (about K2.9 billion).

Total Malawi communications and marketing officer Midory Ngosi said this on Saturday evening at Blantyre Sports Club where the company’s management, staff and some of its customers watched the opening match between the hosts and Guinea-Bissau on a big screen over a cocktail.

She said going by their slogan of ‘Energising life everyday’, and being part of the official sponsor’s family, they have thought it wise to run a promotion that will see the two lucky winners travelling to Libreville on a fully-sponsored trip.

“When you walk into our service stations or Bonjour shops and buy our products worth K25 000 you will be required to pick a raffle ticket from box, if it says ‘you have won’, instant prizes are to be given to the customers and then you proceed to enter the code at the back of the raffle card online at www.footaball-together.total.com to automatically enter into a draw.

“If the raffle card picked says ‘you have lost’,  you will still participate in the raffle draw  by entering the code at the back of your raffle ticket into a draw for the main prizes which are the two sponsored trips to Gabon to watch the finals.”

She said the draw will be held on January 23.

Total Malawi commercial manager Mc Chancy Mkamanga urged the company’s customers to take part in the promo.

“It is part of our strategy to be close to our customers. So, there are lots of exciting things coming up.”

Commenting on the opening match, Mkamamnga described it as thrilling. n
