Total Malawi on Friday announced changes to its fuel card in a move the company’s managing director Seggie Kistasamy said is aimed at improving and strengthening its card offering to provide an effective vehicle fleet management tool.

He said the new web-based platform provides Total Malawi card holders with access to reports relating to their card usage through the Internet.

On his part, Total Malawi commercial manager McChancy Mkamanga said the new enhanced functionality of the Total card allows transfer of credit from one prepaid card to another, which will help customers during emergencies.

“It is now possible to transfer credit from one prepaid Total card to another of the same account through electronic power transfer [EPT] terminals available in our service stations.

“We want our customers to feel good in the comfort of their offices or homes,” he said.

Mkamanga said the EPT provides fleet controllers with an option of sharing credit in the cards to be used in other Total cards, stressing this flexibility provides efficiency.
