Tragic accidents in Lilongwe, Ntcheu

Lilongwe accident apr8 | The Nation OnlineA man identified as Ahmed Yasir died on the spot when his Toyota Carina, registration SA 6579, rammed into a bus belonging to National Bus Company, registration BQ 1602, in the early hours of Sunday.

The accident took place at a T-junction to Maula Prison near Lingadzi Inn along Paul Kagame Highway (Chilambula Road). Onlookers said that Yasir unexpectedly connected into the road before a cruising bus from Blantyre crashed into his Carina.

In Ntcheu, four people were killed and others seriously injured in an accident that involved Trans Rukuru Bus at Ntcheu Boma on Saturday night. Two of the deceased Emily Pemba and Madalitso Phiri died on the spot.

The bus, registration BP 5286 was travelling from Blantyre to Lilongwe. In the other picture, three people survived an accident when a twin cab registration SA 5532 heading to Blantyre from Lilongwe overturned on Sunday morning near Bunda Turnoff.—DUMBANI MZALE and Batholomew Kawina, Staff Writers
