Trumel debuts at Armstrong album launch

Dancehall starlet Trumel gets his first big-stage appearance under Nde’feyo Entertainment at the launch of Armstrong’s album next weekend.

According to the label, Trumel will perform alongside their older signings—Piksy, Biriwiri and Maziko Band— as well as rapper Tay Grin and ragga queen Wendy Harawa during the unveiling of Ndele at Sunbird Capital Marque in Lilongwe on Sunday, November 25.

“Some people might be asking why we are launching the album first in Lilongwe when Armstrong lives in Blantyre. The artist has as much fans in Lilongwe as in Blantyre. However, sometimes it’s good to do things differently,” said Nde’feyo publicist Kimpho Loka.

The release of BrB mixtape early this year has made Armstrong the most wanted voice both on show and on air.

The cover track Ndele wells from the proverb mwala woyendayenda suyanga ndele (a rolling stone gathers no moss) to illustrate enduring and blossoming love.

He thanked Nde’feyo and fans for supporting his music, saying: “I have brought a different feel to the already existing genres.”

The launch will be preceded by a party, featuring DJ Scarper and DJ Kari P, at Zanzi Bar on Friday.
