Lilongwe-based hip hop and R ‘n’ B artist Tsar Leo on Sunday dropped an Extended Playlist (EP) titled Old Times Good Times.

The singer said that the EP has taken him time to release because he wanted to produce a perfect product.

Tsar Leo: I am happy that I have released the EP

In an interview, Tsar Leo said the name of the EPis derived from  a love story gone bad and not necessarily the title of one of the tracks.

“It is like remembering both the good and bad times between lovers. It’s in a form of reminiscing the times lovers had in the course of their relationship,” he said.

“I have taken time, effort and a lot of hard work on the EP because I believe in perfection and I can assure people that the quality itself is of international standard and as of now I see my career as a singer and song writer turning white,” said Tsar Leo.

The artist said the EP is meant to quench the thirst of his fans.

“I am happy that I have finally released and launched this EP and so far I am expecting to release my album next month. I had chances of releasing it earlier but due to other reasons that kept me busy,” said Tsar Leo.

The artist came into the limelight after the release of the hit Things We Do.

Since then, he has released a number of singles, including The Other Side whose video has been featured on different music channels including Trace, Channel O.

One of his fans Mary Mapachika, who claimed to be the artist’s great fan, said the artist has come of age.

“He is getting better with time. His music is mature and of international standards,” she said.

During the launch at Cleppa Lodge in Lilongwe, Martse, Charisma, Seven O More, Purple C as well as Tannah allies Mr Broken English,  among others, supported the artist.

Eril, Henwood and Seven produced the EP in Lilongwe and it has songs like Wifey, Lonely, Mine and Stay.
