Tanzania national team coach Charles Mkwasa has warned his players not to be complacent in the return leg of the 2018 Fifa World Cup preliminary qualifier at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday.

Taifa Stars are now favourites to progress to the next round after a 2-0 win over Malawi on Wednesday at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

“It’s not over yet and we need not relax but take the game to them. We have to score goals. The mistake we can make is to get complacent,” Mkwasa told Supersport.

Malawi need to be wary of TP Mazembe duo of Mbwana Samatta and Thomas Ulimwengu who caused havoc to Flames defence which looked shaky.

Samatta gave Taifa Stars the lead when he calmly slotted home past a hapless Simplex Nthala in Malawi’s goal after a neat pass from Ulimwengu.

Ulimwengu was also on target for Taifa Stars after he took advantage of a mistake by Nthala to score from close range.
