UGI dates golfers at Blantyre Sports Club
United General Insurance (UGI) Company Limited will host a golf tournament at Blantyre Sports Club (BSC) on Saturday.
UGI manager responsible for operations McDonald Chibwe said they will use the tournament as a platform to unveil their new AutoServe product.
“Golf always provides us the stage to interact with our customers apart from giving back to the community that we operate in.
“We, therefore, felt the tournament will be ideal to showcase the AustoServe product which is a basket of several related insurance covers and services, packaged together to offer seamless protection to owners of high valued cars and fleet; hence, the tag line More than Just a Motor Policy,” he said.
According to BSC golf captain Sam Mwale, all is set for the tournament which will be played on medal format.
“The response has been overwhelming and we expect golfers in the range of between 65 and 80 to take part,” he said.
Mwale said the first group of golfers will tee off from 6am to 8.30am while the second group will take to the greens from 11am to 12.30pm. n
