UK, ZBS launch Question Time

The British High Commission, in partnership with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS), will today (Wednesday) launch Question Time Malawi, a current affairs debate programme focusing on political discourse in the country.

The first programme will be conducted in Chichewa from 6 pm at the Cross Roads Hotel in Lilongwe.

A press statement from British High Commission says the programme will feature senior politicians from MCP, DPP, PP and UDF.

Reads the statement signed by Deputy British High Commissioner Kirk Hollingsworth: “The representatives from the four largest parliamentary parties, with audience participation from other political parties, will debate, discuss and answer questions put to them by a moderator and an audience comprising members of the public.”

The statement says the programme will provide political party representatives with a national platform to present their party’s vision, policies and development agenda for Malawi.

“This will be an issue-based radio and television political and current affairs discussion or debate programme based along the lines of the popular BBC current affairs television programme called Question Time,” reads the statement.
