UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Agency, today announced the roll out of a national advocacy campaign with Airtel and NAM (Netball Association of Malawi) to protect and promote the rights of adolescent girls in Malawi.
The campaign, which features the Malawi Queens, aims to provide role models and inspirational messages in both English and Chichewa.
Through a series of visuals it seeks to encourage girls to speak out against violence, delay marriage and finish school.
Airtel Malawi is supporting UNICEF’s efforts to reduce violence by providing billboard space and social media support for the campaign.
