Unima hosts golf tournament

University of Malawi (Unima) will today host a golden jubilee golf tournament at Blantyre Sports Club (BSC). The event is expected to tee off at 12 noon.

Senior assistant registrar responsible for communication, Alinane Khonje, said the tournament pegged at K200 000 ($444) per participant aims at raising money towards implementation of the commemoration of its golden jubilee in September this year.

Khonje added that there will be a dinner and dance at the university’s College of Medicine (CoM) Sports Complex from 6.30pm.

He said tickets will be sold at K450 000 ($1000) and K15 000 ($33) for corporate and individual partakers respectively.

“We urge all Malawians to come and support us at both events,” she said.
