One of Malawi’s manufacturers and distributor of biscuits, confectionery, savoury snacks and beverages, Universal Industries, has launched a three-month promotion dubbed Gluco Power World Cup Bonanza, aiming at promoting the brand and football.

The company’s chief executive officer Kaushik Pillalamarri said the promotion has been launched as their company is geared up to contribute to the football excitement mostly among the youths.

universal-prom“The legacy of Gluco Power is steep in sports. We understand that the youthful population of Malawi has a long standing ardent loving relationship with sports in general and football in particular.

“With the World Cup Season underway, we thought it wise to incorporate our brand so as to promote it and support football,” he said.

To enter the promotion, consumers are required to look out for Universal World Cup stickers in 60 grammes or 100 grammes of Gluco Power biscuits packets and send them either by hand or post with their contact details.

Gluco Power Bonanza, rolled out on the May 1 this year, will run till July 31 when one lucky customer will walk away with a grand prize of K2 million while other runners up during and after the grand finale of the competition will be splashed as consolation prizes.
