US bank set to help the poor through loans

The Overseas Private Investment Corporation (Opic)—an American international financing institution—is set to invest in a new pro-poor arrangement in Malawi.Opic vice-president James Polan said this after closed-door discussions with President Peter Mutharika at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe on Monday.
