Celebrations engulfed Kurya Ndiko Uku Community Based Organisation (CBO) in Mzimba yesterday when 22 women completed a 12-day free nutrition training conducted by Professor Dorothy Blair of Penn State University in the United States of America (USA).

The training was organised by Citizens Network for Foreign Affairs (CNFA) Malawi with support from the United States Agency for International Development (Usaid).

It enabled the women to access various training courses and workshops on nutritional use of soya beans, baking and fuel.

Speaking during the closing ceremony, the guest of honour, who is Northern Region service centre manager for Technical, Entrepreneurial, Vocational Education and Training Authority (Teveta), Conceptor Nyamazawo Bamusi, hailed CNFA for organising the training, saying the skills the women have gained will go a long way in uplifting their living standards.
