Vice-President Khumbo Kachali has donated a vehicle to one of the chairpersons for Women of Mzimba South West Constituency, Salome Moyo, as a token of appreciation for her vigorous support to him and People’s Party at developmental rally held at Kamalibwe Primary School in the area of M’mbelwa on Thursday.

In her reaction to the news, the woman fell down and rolled on the ground as she thanked Kachali who walked from the platform towards her.

The Vice-President, who also gave 50 bicycles, 180 solar lamps and 180 PP umbrellas to schools, party and traditional leaders in the constituency, said it was not proper for a woman like Salome who worked hard for the party to be seen riding a bicycle in the vast constituency.

“Nyamoyo deserves a vehicle,” Kachali said amid hand clapping and ululations.

He also gave a motorcycle to constituency chairperson for youths and another motorcycle to the one who facilitates Khumbo Kachali’s football and netball trophies.

The Vice-President said he would continue providing bicycles, vehicles, among others to his supporters as a way of thanking them for the support they give him and the party.

Speaking to Mana, Salome 48, of Malaya Kalusa Village in Chief M’mbelwa’s area in the district, said she was so thankful to the Vice-President for giving her Toyota Voxy registration NA 4517.

“To show that I am grateful to the Vice President, I will see to it that Kachali has strong support in the constituency for him to win during the forthcoming tripartite elections,” Salome who said had never owned a vehicle before explained.
