Wachituta takes album to Kachere, Bvumbwe

Wachituta Thombozi is determined to popularise the album Mchikondi ndi Mulungu after its unveiling was watered down by relentless rains on Fools Day last month.

The co-vocalist of Bantu Kamradz, the band whose history is laced with Khalidwe Wear clothing line, has embarked on a promotion spree which starts Friday night at Kachere Comfort Club in Blantyre.

Admittedly back on the road after the muddy start in Blantyre on April 1, the artist will take his second release to Bvumbwe’s Maximum Motel (formerly Sivuto) on Saturday and meet the reggae group Black Missionaries at The Warehouse.

“Several artists are on the line-up. These include Chipiliro Mwancheka, Toza ‘Evison Mourner’ Kapito and Criste, a reggae artist who is back from America,” said Wachituta.

This is the first reunion with the Blacks since the rainy launch and it marks the reappearance of Mwancheka, famed as Malawi’s Makhirikhiri, who was involved in a car accident last month.
