Water interruption in Limbe Zone
Road works on the Soche Road led to the bursting of a Blantyre
Water Board (BWB) pipe along the road on Wednesday.
It is suspected that the machinery being used in the construction
works interfered with the pipe. The fault has resulted in the temporal
closure of the road and road users are using a diversion.
According to BWB public affairs officer Priscilla Mateyu, the
board’s workers are just waiting for the water to completely drain off
from the tank which supplies water to the area before moving in to fix
the damage.
Affected areas include Chinyonga, ITG Estate, Angelo Goveya, Kanjedza,
Misesa, Manje, Chigumula, Bvumbwe, Chiwembe and Bangwe.
