Wati, Nafe join Team X1 show
Nafe and Wati Kulemeka resurfaced from their post-Big Brother silence to grace the pre-launch of Team X1 first album at Zanzi Bar in Lilongwe on Saturday afternoon.
The Kulemeka cousins, who represented Malawi in the reality show’s StarGame edition this year, sprung back as guest artists and directors of ceremonies at the urban entertainment group’s show.
“I am happy to be part of the show and many thanks should go to Team X1 entertainment for considering us to be part of the pre-launch show. I like associating with the youth, particularly those in music. Nafe and I feel honoured to be part of a big music show by young artists,†said Wati who co-runs a showbiz project with Royal Villa Entertainment.
Rustica Kapito (aka Capital Girl) mesmerised the fans with her romantic track Ndili Ndekha. Other performers included Bingo Lingo, Ghetto Child and Team X1 Trumpet crew.
In an interview, Team XI spokesperson Patrick Botha said the group was satisfied with performances despite poor patronage and chill weather.
Team XI Volume One will be on the market this month, said Botha.
