On Friday, FDH Bank plc handed over a shop and merchandise worth K2 million to legendary musicians Giddes Chalamanda at his home in Chiradzulu.

The bank’s marketing manager Ronald Chimchere said they helped the aging musician following a request from the bank’s brand ambassador Patience Namadingo.

Namadingo said he was happy to see Chalamanda’s life being transformed.

“During my chat with Chalamanda a few months ago, I noticed that his finances are not solid.That is when I came up with this idea,” he said.

In a separate interview, Chalamanda said the shop will ease financial struggles in his life.

 “It was hard for me to be travelling long distances to perform to earn a living for me and my family. So, the donation will ease my life,” he said.
