Love is in the air. The Valentine treats keep on flowing. This Sunday afternoon, girls will be lutte for cupid’s arrow to caress their heart in a Miss Valentine do in Blantyre.

The battle for beauty and brain is on at the Chez Ntemba International Club in Blantyre with 12 contestants strutting their stuff on the cat-walk. The most graceful walks away with an unspecified cash prize and shopping voucher.

With hotels and entertainment joints packed with programmes to treat lovers as they look forward to the age-old Valentine traditions: showing love.

On the cat-walk will be Violet Kachamba, Thoko Kamanga, Trintas Chikopa, Dikileni Mpini, Caroline Songole, Regina Nzima, Chimwemwe Chopani, Ida Motsotsa, Atupele Chilunga, Tadala Ndisale, Elisha Tembo and Seva Seame.

Apart from the cash, the winner will also get shopping voucher from L Devraj, an exclusive clothing shop and a full driving scholarship from Midima Highway School.

For the patrons, this afternoon is a time to sample Nthumwi Piksy’s latest Unamata live with BlakJak grippling with Wadya Iwe or Mavuto from his upcoming debut album.
