Wizards recently complained to the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) over Silver’s continued hold on to the player despite his loan deal expiring on September 30.

To the displeasure of the Bankers, FAM ordered them to stop using the player.

But in an interview yesterday, Silver general secretary (GS) Thabo Chakaka-Nyirenda said the two clubs have reached a settlement which will see Paipi remaining at the Area 47-based outfit.

“We are pleased that the saga has ended and that Thuso will be with us on a long term,” he said.

Chakaka-Nyirenda said the latest resolution had upheld an earlier agreement where his club will pay K3.3 million transfer fee.

“The financial value is worthy  it considering that Paipi is young and has several years to contribute to this club,” he said.

The Silver GS said Paipi penned a three-year contract in August, almost a month before his loan deal expired.

Wizards owner Peter Mponda confirmed approving the midfielder’s transfer to  Silver. n
