Mzuzu Word Alive resident pastor Reverend Reuben Matundu said the convention, which was based on Matthew 5:13-14, was aimed at raising spiritual awareness among individuals about their identity in Christ Jesus

“As believers, we are like a city built on a hilltop, and we are agents of spiritual transformation in our communities, work places and market places,” said Matundu in an interview.

He also said Acts 1:8 emphasises on the power Christians have through the gift of the Holy Spirit so as to become agents of change.

“Unless we make Jesus Christ as our personal saviour, we will never experience the transformation we desire as individuals,” said Matundu.

The convention, which is a quarterly event, brought together members and non-members of the church.
