Word Alive International Ministries on Sunday graduated six pastors in what was supposed to be an exciting event that turned to sorrowful one.

Towera Masiku and Hannah Mijoya were seen weeping and wiping off the tears with their handkerchiefs in the fully anointed ceremony.

The ordination had Richard Makungwa from Zomba, Welse Makwenemba from Nsanje, Towera Masiku from Blantyre, Reuben Mapunda from Mzuzu, Hannah Mijoya from Blantyre and Derek Zambere from Goliati in Thyolo.

Leading the ordination ceremony, Apostle Dr Zacc Kawalala advised the ordained ministers to be servants of God and search lost souls back to God.

“You are called to tell the story of God to mankind, baptise those that believe the Word of God, bless those that need to be blessed, serve God’s table (Holy Communion).

“You have to perform funeral ceremonies, pray for the sick, encourage the weak in spirit, lead by apostolic anointment, work for the Lord diligently without fear or favour,” advised Apostle Dr Zacc Kawalala.

Reading from 1 Cor12:1, the six were advised to preach the Word of God in and out of season, bringing the lost to the Kingdom of God, saying ministers need to be in service all the time.
