Word Alive Ministries International (Wami) will from September 1 to 4 hold its annual conference dubbed “Church Ablaze” at its headquarters in Blantyre.

According to the church’s senior pastor Rev Zacc Kawalala, this year’s event is expected to rekindle a revival of the church.

“We are trusting God for an awakening of the people coming to the conference. We expect, through the ministry of the word that lives will be revived, refreshed and empowered to move to another level. It’s also a forum for us in Word Alive to come together and sit under the same teaching, thereby unifying us as one,” said Rev Kawalala.

He said the name “Church Ablaze”, which means the ‘Church on Fire’ is derived from the promise God has given the church. He, therefore, noted that the church of God needs to be propelled by the fire of the Holy Spirit.

Speakers at this year’s gathering are Bishop Freddie Edwards from South Africa, Bishop Chimwemwe Chiwaka from Botswana, Apostle Madalitso Mbewe from Malawi and Rev Zacc Kawalala, the host.

There will be sessions from 7am to 12 noon, lunch hour breakthrough services and evening services from 5.30pm to 8pm.
