Be Forward Wanderers flamboyant fan Yona Malunga is at it again. He has set the hype of the Blantyre derby by declaring that he is ready to ‘bet’ his newly bought car as an affirmation that his team will beat Big Bullets on Saturday.

“I am declaring publicly here that come Saturday, we will hand Bullets their first league defeat of the season and I am ready to ‘bet’ my Nissan Gloria car which I have just bought.

“If there is any Bullets fan who is ready to take a gamble then let them come forward. Koma asasitike chiphapha [provided they should not bet a ramshackle],” said Malunga.

The cheery Wanderers fan said they would make arrangements with anyone who is ready bet on where to surrender the vehicles.

However, on a lighter note, Bullets supporters committee chairperson Stone Mwamadi laughed off Malunga’s claims.

“He has never been serious on his bets. Everytime he toys around with the idea of ‘betting’ prior to the match, he goes into hiding and resurfaces after the match, that’s Yona for you and we know him. I’ts just a way of setting the hype and the good thing is that it steps up the hype,” said Mwamadi.
