Breaking the news in Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe, at the weekend, the Anankabango rapper (real name Francis Kaphuka) said the album Celebrated will be on the market next month.

“I am back. Celebrated brims with maturity and it is likely to restore the legacy of my name on the music market. I don’t sing for fun, I had to take time,” said Young Kay.

He debuted in 2007 with Exhale and followed it up with First Impression in2009.

Since then, he has been touring with Ndefeyo Entertainment label’s signings—Maskal, Piksy and Armstrong.

He said the new release was delayed because of shortage of funds.

The compilation contains 13 tracks, including last year’s singles Pa Uchidolo and Zipepese.
