Zambia’s DJ Cosmo coming to Malawi

One of Zambia’s popular musician and club DJ Cosmas Chileshe alias DJ Cosmo is coming to Malawi for performances scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Blantyre and Lilongwe, respectively.

DJ Cosmo’s trip to Malawi is powered by Soundfreak Entertainment, a company which is run by DJs Wayne and Maya.

Speaking in an interview on Wednesday, DJ Maya said DJ Cosmo will perform alongside Malawi’s finest youthful artists such as Saint, Young D, Nesnes, Blasto, Don Tarz, Bingolingo and Bucci.

“This is a deliberate arrangement aimed at strengthening relationship between Malawian and Zambian artists,” said DJ Maya.

DJ Cosmo, became popular in Zambian music circles when he started collaborating with several top Zambian artists such as Exile, Hamooda, Franciar, Baska and JK around 2009. His energetic live performance on stage, booked him his first visit to Malawi in 2011 to share a stage with Malawi’s giant musician Soldier Lucius Banda.

Among other songs, DJ Cosmo is famed for the hit single Wine Yah Body featuring JK, which dropped in August 2015
