ZIM coach agrees personal terms with BB

Zimbabwean coach Callisto  Pasuwa has reportedly agreed personal terms with Nyasa Big Bullets after undergoing successful interviews.

His Zimbabwean agent, who confirmed Bullets’ interest in Pasuwa in an interview with our sister newspaper Weekend Nation, yesterday confirmed that his client has been offered a deal.

“However, he will have to go through the offer with his lawyers here [in Harare] before putting pen to paper,” said the agent who asked for anonymity.

He could also not be drawn to disclose the duration of the contract.

“All I can say is that it has been agreed that Callisto should revert within a week’s period,” he said.

Bullets chief executive officer Fleetwood Haiya had not responded to our questionnaire at press time yesterday.

Pasuwa flew to Blantyre from Harare on Friday for interviews and watched the People’s Team’s international friendly match against Zanzibar top side Jeshi la Kujenga Uchumi Sports Club (JKU SC) the following day as part of the interviews.

Apart from Pasuwa, Bullets were also linked with another former Zimbabwe Warriors coach Raman Gumbo.

Pasuwa guided the Warriors to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualification, guided Zimbabwe giants, Dynamos FC, to four successive Premier League titles and led them to the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League at some point.

Pasuwa was linked with a coaching role at Be Forward Wanderers ahead of their CAF Champions League participation earlier this year.

Bullets recently fired coach Rogers Yasin and his assistant coach Eliah Kananji and appointed strikers’ trainer Heston Munthali as caretaker coach.
