ZimTrafe fair postponed

The Zimbabwean Embassy in Malawi has announced the postponement of the ZimTrade solo exhibition that was scheduled to commence today in Lilongwe till Thursday this week. 


In a statement, the Embassy said the decision is in line with the directive by the Government of Malawi that  due to Covid-19 control measures, flights were suspended as pandemic cases have been rising. 


The Embassy said the message was conveyed to companies in Zimbabwe as well as ZimTrade who in turn had to put everything on hold. 
In addition, the Zimbabwean delegation was advised by both Malawi Airline and Ethiopian Airline that they will not be able to fly between Zimbabwe and Malawi during the planned exhibition period. 


The Embassy has therefore said the event has tentatively been postponed to 12 -14 July 2021. 
The  exhibition was planned to bring in a total of 30 Zimbabwean companies with interests in Irrigation equipment manufacturing, Agro processing,  home and office furniture manufacturing, mining equipment manufacturing among others.
