Malawi’s old capital, Zomba, will for the first time hold a Ladies Night event this Friday at Gymkhana Club. Most ladies, who used to travel to Blantyre or Lilongwe for such events, are poised to have a night well spent.

According to one of the organisers, Lydia Nkolokosa, the event is meant to bring together ladies in Zomba to interact and share experiences while having fun.

“When you travel to other cities, you find that our friends normally hold such events, so, together with my colleague Rose Kubwalo, we thought of holding one for Zomba ladies,” said Nkolokosa.

She disclosed that ladies will be treated to old school jams by Hotchiz Disco, dinner and dance, and a raffle draw, among others.

“We expect about 150 ladies. The response is overwhelming as at now because more than the 150 figure has already paid the damages which are K2 000,” Nkolokosa said.
