Resident pastor, Peter Kandulu, said the congregation has relied on fundraising initiatives to generate money for the project.

“I know some of us hesitate when it comes to giving to God’s work. But you should know that giving brings us blessings,” he said.

Kandulu quoted 1 Chronicles 29:1-9 and 2 Corinthians 9:6-9, saying it is the responsibility of all Christians to give towards the work of the Lord.

He said God’s work will suffer when people do not support the church through giving.

“Even Abraham was asked to sacrifice his only son to God. If it were you, could you accept Abraham’s challenge? Let us learn to give,” said Kandulu.

Meanwhile, the church has organised a Paper Sunday today as another way of raising money.
