“From last year, Zomba established a league of its own. Now the country has four regional leagues. We thought of giving Zomba a privilege of hosting this event as part of a rotational policy,” said Kayange.

Eighteen teams will battle it out to find out champions in the various categories.

From Blantyre and Districts Darts League (BDDL), there is MPC Country Club Limbe, Tedzani, Blantyre Sports Club, Staff Development Institute, Libra women team and BDDL youth team.

Capital Glass, Combat Support Battalion, Kamuzu Barracks Women team will represent Lilongwe and District Darts League (LDDL). LDDL youth team will also participate.

Kaning’ina, Mzuzu Golf Club, Mzuzu Women Team A and B plus Mzuzu youth will represent the North.

Cobbe Barracks and Zomba Police will represent the eastern region.

“We have various monetary prizes in all the categories including individual prizes. It’s going to be very exciting,” said Kayange.
