Epac FC has disputed their international defender Pilirani Zonda’s claims that he has no contract with the club.

Zonda, who wants to join Big Bullets, yesterday made stunning allegations that if Epac insist that they have a contract with him, then they should have forged his signature.

The player, who has been pegged at K2.5 million (US$6 142.5) by Njenjete as his transfer fee, has since sought FAM’s intervention on the dispute to enable him to join the People’s Team as a free agent.

“I have a lot of respect for Epac because they have made me the player that I am today, but for them to claim that they have a contract with me is deceptive and I challenge them to produce a copy.

“I have sought FAM’s intervention because I know the truth and if they [Epac] insist that they have a contract with me, then it is possible they might have forged my signature,” said Zonda.

However, Epac administration manager Roy Abromo Mdechi said the truth will come out.

“I wouldn’t want to comment on the issue further because Pilirani knows the truth and it will come out.

“If he wants to continue talking in the media, he can do so because it seems he is excited talking on the radio,” said Mdechi.

FAM-Fifa transfer matching system [TMS] manager Casper Jangale confirmed that Zonda has sought the association’s intervention.

Bullets general secretary Harold Fote said they are waiting for the outcome of the issue before they can process the player’s transfer deal.
