Nzika Flood Response team leader Gift Nankhuni said they met the teams and sorted out all logistical arrangements.

He said: “We started with Blantyre teams on Wednesday where we met Bullets and Wanderers officials. We gave them money to meet their respective logistical arrangements according to their budgets.

Today [Thursday], we met Silver and Civo officials and we deposited  money in their bank accounts. Everything is set and we are ready to go.”

However, Nankhuni could not disclose the amount they gave the teams.

Bullets chief administration officer confirmed the news in an interview yesterday.

“The organisers have fulfilled their obligation and we appreciate it. We are going to take part,” he said.

Silver chief executive officer Thoko Chimbali also confirmed getting some money from Nzika Flood Response.

“We had a fruitful meeting and we agreed on a K2 million they agreed to deposit,” he said.
