Chartered Institute of Customer Management on Friday awarded 22 best service providers in the 2022 Malawi Service Excellence Awards.

Some of the service providers awarded during the event held in Blantyre include Malawian Airlines, Crossroads Hotel, inq. Digital Malawi, Kips Restaurant, Goodwill Funeral Services, Exploits University, security firm GardaWorld and NBS Bank plc.

Gillan (R) receives the award

In an interview on the sidelines of the event, Kwanza PR marketing manager Tenashi Mukwani, whose firm organised the event, said good service provision is the heart of every business.

He said: “These awards remind service providers that they are doing great job in their industry and this also encourages other companies to work on their customer service provision because if a customer is happy, business grows.

“This yearly event takes place in 11 countries in Africa and Malawi is the last one. We had a break for two years because of the Covid-19 pandemic and we are back with these awards and expect to continue to conduct them in years to come. ”

Kips managing director Asif Gillan said the award is a return for the services and dedication they offer to the public.

“We will continue offering the best services to Malawians and also allow our customers to give us feedback on areas we have to improve,” he said.

Crossroads Hotel Blantyre general manager Anna Chirwa said they have worked hard to bounce back after the challenges that came with Covid-19.

“We will continue meeting our customers’ needs by taking feedback and recommendations on areas to improve,” she said.
