Christians across the country on Friday joined Christian communities globally to remember the death of Jesus Christ by observing The Way of the Cross, which culminated in His death by crucifixion, and He will resurrect by the end of Saturday, leading to the celebration of Easter Sunday.
For many Christian churches, Easter is the joyful end to the Lenten season of fasting and penitence. Here in Malawi, as a tradition, churches mark the day by conducting the Way of the Cross.
