Nyasa Big Bullets in partnership with insurance services firm Hubertus Clausus Malawi Limited have introduced monthly awards for the club’s players.

During a press briefing in Blantyre on Thursday, Bullets chief administration officer Albert Chigoga said the awards are designed to motivate their players to perform exceptionally and influence the TNM Super League champions’ overall performance.

“At the same time, this will help to provoke and stimulate football fans at large to affectionately support both the team and the company,” he said.

Chigoga said effective April, football supporters are required to vote for their preferred monthly player by sending a message bearing the name of the player to 441 on either TNM or Airtel networks.

“The player with the most votes at the end of each month will be the player of the month to receive K100 000 and a miniature from Hubertus Clausus, who will present the award at half time during our home match,” he said.

“Top-three supporters in terms of sending the most messages will also be winning branded golf shirts and given complementary tickets to watch Bullets’ home game from the VIP stand.”

Hubertus Clausus finance director Malinda Chinyama said they were also committed to award the best five players and five supporters at the end of the year.

“We believe in not only rewarding the best players but also recognising individuals that will be giving the team and our company financial, moral and physical support,” he said.

The latest deal comes on top of the existing business partnership agreement whereby Bullets are supposed to lure their supporters to insure with Hubertus Clausus.

In return, Bullets get 20 percent of gross commission on all sales from the deal.
