MOTION

1. Madam Speaker, I beg to move that the Mid-Year revised

estimates on the Recurrent and Development Accounts for

the 2024-25 National Budget be reviewed by the Committee

of the Whole House, to be considered vote by vote, and that

thereafter be adopted.

INTRODUCTION

2. Madam Speaker, in fulfilment of the requirement by the

Public Finance Management Act 2022 (PFMA) and on behalf

of His Excellency the President, I rise to submit to this August

House, implementation progress of the first half of the 2024-25

Budget and proposed revisions expected in the second half.

I therefore, urge all Honourable Members to constructively

deliberate on the revised Budget that I am about to present.

3. I wish to highlight that Government is implementing the

budget to promote economic growth and macroeconomic

stability, which have been recently affected by both
