China-based women’s football star Tabitha Chawinga on Sunday increased her tally to five goals in the Chinese Women’s Super League.

The Scorchers skipper scored another brace for Wuhan Jiangda when they thumped Henan 4-0.

Majun scored the other two goals.

The 24-year-old leads the league’s scorers chart while her young sister, Temwa has two.

Wuhan, who are the defending champions, have won all their four games so far, scoring 13 goals and conceding only one.

They lead the table with 12 points.

In an interview yesterday, Tabitha said she was happy to keep the goals flowing.

She said: “The team spirit is amazing and that’s what matters most.

“We’ll keep working hard in a quest to defend the title.”

She also disclosed that Temwa is mostly being used as a defender.

“The coach felt she can also perform in defence and she is doing well,” said Tabitha.

Last season, Tabitha won the golden boot with nine goals.
