Domestic Revenue projection

37. Madam Speaker, domestic revenue is expected to

increase marginally by 0.1 percent from K3.38 trillion to K3.39

trillion. Of the total domestic revenue, taxes and other

revenue are projected at K3.26 trillion and K128.6 billion,

respectively.

Projection of Grants

38. Madam Speaker, grants are projected to increase by

K72 billion from K1.17 trillion to K1.24 trillion by the end of the

2024-25 financial year, representing a 6.2 percent increase.

This is on account of an increase in current grants from

International Organizations.

Expenditure Projections

39. Madam Speaker, the 2024-25 financial year’s total

expenditure has been revised upwards by K41.5 billion from

K5.99 trillion to K6.04 trillion, representing a 0.7 percent

increase. As earlier on indicated, the upward revision is on

account of the World Bank disbursements pertaining to maize
