REDD+ programme that is being implemented in the

Department of Parks and Wildlife, the country has

generated about US$10.3 million for implementation of

community livelihoods and natural resources

conservation in Rumphi and Nkhotakota Districts.

Overall, through auctions of carbon credits Government

is set to even gain more revenues.

19. Madam Speaker, Government is still intensifying its

efforts to unlock additional revenues through Mining

Discounted Projects and Cannabis Biomass Projects for

export diversification, among others.

20. With regard to the ATM Strategy, Madam Speaker,

Government continues to prioritise catalytic investment in the

three identified sectors of agriculture, tourism and mining.

2024-25 Mid-Year Budget Performance

21. Madam Speaker, the first half of the 2024-25 Budget

outturn was generally within the projected expenditure levels

despite a number of macroeconomic challenges that
